Dopplar
Radar technology has the unique ability to more accurately identify local
and regional weather conditions in a television viewing area than any other
radar technology available. As a leader in news and weather programming,
Capital Broadcasting’s WRAL TV wanted to help viewers better understand
this new tool in their weather reporting capabilities. Selecting our team to
showcase images simulating the Dopplar’s signal was an effective method
to help in communicating this new technology to viewers.
Once
again when the producers of 48 Hours needed a trusted team of animation experts…this
time accident reconstruction experts…they contacted our team to collaborate
with accident reconstruction engineers in order to create an accurate 3D
reconstruction animation. Based on the evidence available at the time
of the accident involving Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayad in the Alma Tunnel
in Paris we created this visualization. Sample images from this sequence
are presented here.
When
producers of the 48 Hours special on the subject of conjoined twins needed
to illustrate the complexities of the anatomical and subsequent surgical
challenges facing doctors attempting to separate a pair of conjoined twins
being featured in this episode, they knew our team could handle it having
illustrated this type of complex anatomical occurrence before.
When
the producers of a CBS primetime 48 Hours episode needed animation to help
give viewers a better understanding of a unique surgery where doctors attached
a donor’s limb the arm of an amputee, they called on our team to
create the 3D illustration and animation of the complex and risky procedure.
Covering
breaking news with concise detailed imagery and copy in a timely manner
is key to getting important messages across to viewers. Flying Foto Factory,
Inc. intimately understands the importance of clarity and accuracy in delivering
these kinds of images to broadcasters and cable networks. We’re called
on regularly to create both custom projects and to sometimes repurpose
existing computer animation imagery to help newscasters tell current stories.
Examples shown here represent a few produced for health and technology
related news stories for CBS News and local broadcasters. You’ll
see samples of some of that work here. We’ll provide more detail
about how our work might assist your organization in this area in one on
one meetings.
